The Challenge

Before contracting Get Social in the spring of 2020, The Revelstoke Golf Club’s social media platforms were managed internally. Heavy workloads combined with low interest in social media and lack of communication lead to sporadic, low quality posts and an unprofessional online representation. Posts focussed solely on events and members while neglecting the variety of other elements that make our local golf course the amazing destination it is including the food & beverage department, history, club house, scenic location, pro shop, merchandise and staff.

The Approach

An initial Discovery Meeting allowed Get Social to begin their in-depth Onboarding process to learn about the Golf Club in detail. Monthly meetings between Get Social and Dean Jackson, the club’s General Manager, ensure the consistent post schedule is continuously up to date with various restaurant specials, course events, pro shop sales, available tee times, clinics, promotions and guidelines with posts and stories that effectively speak to members, drop-in golfers, tourists and community members alike. The use of high quality imagery, educational captions and organic marketing strategies continues to grow the Revelstoke Golf Club’s online community into a large, engaged audience.

 
 

The Outcomes

Within the first two months of working together, the Revelstoke Golf Club’s Facebook engagement increased by over 53%, their Instagram following increased by over 50 profiles and their website traffic increased by over 100 visits. One year later, the Revelstoke Golf Club is proud to retain their largest membership count since the 1970s. With a total of 301 members and counting, 100 brand new members joined the wonderful club in large thanks to the consistent social media marketing tactics managed by Get Social. Their Instagram and Facebook accounts have collectively increased in size with 672 new followers and both platforms consistently reach over 2,000 individual accounts per month.
